Rummy Nose Tetra (Hemigrammus rhodostomus)
The Rummy Nose Tetra is known for its bright red face, silver body, and bold black-and-white striped tail. Kept in a group, these active fish form an eye-catching display as they swim together through the aquarium.
Native to South American waterways, Rummy Nose Tetras do best in a mature aquarium with stable, clean water, gentle lighting, and plenty of swimming room. Keep at least 10 together so they feel secure and show their natural shoaling behaviour. They are peaceful companions for other gentle fish that enjoy similar conditions.
Feed a varied diet of appropriately sized flakes or micro pellets, supplemented with small frozen or live foods.
