Diamond Head Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon innesi)
The Diamond Head Neon Tetra is a variety of the classic Neon Tetra with a bright, reflective patch near the top of its head. Its shimmering blue stripe and red markings add colour and movement to a planted aquarium, especially when kept in a group.
Like other Neon Tetras, Diamond Heads do best in a mature aquarium with stable water conditions, plant cover, and open swimming space. Keep at least 8–10 together so they feel secure and show their natural group behaviour. They are peaceful companions for other small, gentle fish.
Offer a varied diet of appropriately sized flakes or micro pellets, supplemented with small frozen or live foods such as daphnia and bloodworms.
