Bucephalandra Pink Melawi is a beautiful and highly sought-after variety known for its colourful new growth and subtle metallic sheen. Fresh leaves may emerge in shades of pink, reddish-bronze or purple before gradually developing deeper green tones as they mature.
This slow-growing epiphyte develops from a creeping rhizome and is best attached to rock, driftwood or other aquarium décor. The rhizome should remain exposed, as burying it beneath the substrate may cause the plant to rot. Its compact growth makes it an excellent choice for foreground and midground placement, nano aquariums and detailed hardscape layouts.
Stable water conditions, moderate lighting and gentle circulation will help bring out its best colouration. Supplemental CO₂ is not required but can encourage healthier, denser growth.
