Bucephalandra Deep Blue is a striking, slow-growing aquatic plant prized for its dark green to blue-toned leaves and subtle iridescent sheen. Under aquarium lighting, its textured foliage can display beautiful shades of blue, purple and metallic green, making it an excellent accent for aquascapes of any size.
Like Anubias, Bucephalandra grows from a rhizome and should be attached to rock, driftwood or other hardscape. Avoid burying the rhizome, as this can cause the plant to rot. Its compact growth and low-maintenance nature make it suitable for both beginner and experienced aquarists.
For the best colour and growth, provide stable water conditions, moderate lighting and gentle water circulation. CO₂ is not required but can encourage faster, denser growth.
