Asian Rummynose Rasbora – Males Only (Sawbwa resplendens)
The male Asian Rummynose Rasbora is a distinctive fish with a silvery blue sheen, a bright red nose, and red markings on its tail. This listing is for males only; females are not included.
Native to Myanmar’s Inle Lake region, Sawbwa resplendens does best in a planted aquarium with open swimming space, gentle flow, and cooler water than many tropical community fish prefer. Males may chase and spar with one another, especially in a small group. Provide plenty of plants to break up sightlines, ample space, and monitor their interactions.
Offer appropriately sized foods such as small pellets or crushed flakes, supplemented regularly with frozen or live daphnia and baby brine shrimp. Choose small, peaceful tankmates that are comfortable at similar temperatures.
