Daisy’s Ricefish (Oryzias woworae)
Daisy’s Ricefish is a colourful little fish from Sulawesi, Indonesia. Adult males develop a shimmering blue body with vivid orange-red markings on their fins, while females show softer colours. A group adds gentle movement and flashes of colour to a planted aquarium.
These peaceful ricefish do best in a mature aquarium with stable water conditions, plants for cover, and open space to swim. Keep at least 8 together so they feel confident and display their natural group behaviour. Choose small, peaceful tankmates that will not outcompete them for food.
Feed appropriately sized crushed flakes or micro pellets, supplemented with small live or frozen foods such as baby brine shrimp and daphnia.
